Very small envelope (like a cover that would be used for a "thank you" card or personal note). Front: handwritten address and return address. Handwritten "special delivery" below return address and postage. Reverse: hand-stamped with "shoe cancel '1'" "clayton / n. C." and "oct 13 / 7 am / 1939". Opened at top; flap torn but attached.
