This cover was mailed from the Clapham district of London, England to The Mariners Museum in Newport News, Virginia in 1944 franked with a 2-1/2d KGVI issue tied by a machine cancellation.

the Corner Card Reads:

'If undelivered please return to
The Parker Gallery
2, Albemarie St., London W1.'

Slit open top, the backflap has been removed. Small vertical tear top. File staple hole and one small file staple left in at corner card. Manuscript markings seem to indicate routing to the right person at the Mariners Museum. Censor tape is intact with one section removed with the flap (see scan). There are no contents or backstamps.
