Circa 1905 – Cafe menu with map of the Bullfrog mining area E1315

The University of Las Vegas states that the Montgomery Cafe, was believed to have been located in the Montgomery Hotel in Beatty, Nevada. The cafe's menu features the famed T. G. Nicklin map of the Bullfrog mining district. Some have mistakenly dated these Bullfrog menus to the 1950s, but that is incorrect; as noted at the Beatty website the hotel opened in 1905, moved to Pioneer in 1908, and burned down in 1909. The map was designed by T. G. Niklin, the editor of the Bullfrog Miner newspaper shortly after the founding of Beatty. Beatty is shown at the Bullfrog's heart.
