This cover was mailed locally in Chipping Norton, England in 1951 franked by a 2-1/2d and a 4d Festival of Britain issue of 1951, Scott #'s 290 & 291, each tied by circular date stamp dated May 3rd, making for an unofficial First Day Cover.

Opened by lifting, the backflap is unsealed intact, but caused some tears in the body of the envelope's back (see scan). Mild toning along top (less noticeable than scan would lead one to believe). No contents or backstamps
