This cover was mailed from Chicago, Illinois to Wooster, Ohio in 1893 franked by a 2-cent Columbian Exposition issue of 1893, Scott 231v - Broken Hat variety, tied by a machine cancellation.

the Corner Card Reads:

'M.P. Aiken & Co.,
Grain Commission,
Cor. Van Buren St. and Pacific Ave.,
Chicago
Return if not called for in 10 days.'

Content is a single sheet, typed, on watermarked 'Kenesaw' paper with printed, illustrated letterhead (bottom right corner and small bottom edge notch paper avulsions - see scan) advising a buyer of corn of a delay due to heavy snow, delaying arrival of his car.

Slit open top, the backflap is sealed and intact. Wooster receiving backstamps.
