Item Description
The hard-working AFDCS DONATION AUCTION COMMITTEE sends out special THANK YOU FDCs to those members who donate covers and other items to their twice-yearly fund-raising effort. This particular cover is the tenth in that series.It features caricatures of the 7 committee members dressed up as their favorite HERITAGE BREED animals, led by committee chairman Michael Litvak impersonating a Wyandotte Chicken!
While fitting perfectly into your album when folded, when it is opened, it is nearly 12" wide! This particular cover is franked with the CAYUGA DUCK single from the set of 10 stamps in the issue.
••••• This is one of just a few covers that were serviced with the DCP for this issue - the covers that most AFDCS donors received was postmarked with the black and white FDoI cancel.
The identities of each of the AFDCS-member barnyard denizens are revealed in a diagram on the reverse.
