Item Description

This Illustrated Invoice Reply cover was mailed from Carlsbad, California to Cincinnati, Ohio in 1936 franked by a horizontal pair of the 1-1/2c Warren G. Harding issue of 1930, Scott 684. The stamps are tied to the envelope by a duplex cancel with a barred elliptical killer.

The illustration depicts a world globe with a parade of people wearing various international garb, some on horseback and some with carts, which reads: "Direct From Midwest Laboratories Saves You Up To 50%."

Pencil manuscript verso is in-period and reads: "We will hold your order until we hear from you further. Thanking you, (signed)."

Neatly cut open top so barely reduced, the backflap is sealed and intact. File staple holes. No contents or backstamps.
