Item Description

A well centered and very fine mint NH example of this first special delivery issue in the deep yellow green shade (pale blue-green, green, deep green, dark blue green and bluish green shades are shown to the right for comparison purposes only) in a spectacular block of 4. On vertical wove paper measuring 0.004" thick. From the appearance of the gum, this appears to have been printed sometime during the Admiral period between about 1920 and 1922. Blocks like this are very seldom offered, especially with all the stamps this well centered and never hinged. The bottom right stamp is a superb jumbo. 2015 Unitrade values a VF-75 NH block at $2,400. The block offered here grades 80 as follows:
