Canada #2844 MINT NEVER HINGED error SS. Free Shipping.

This Unesco world heritage SS was released on July 3, 2015 and withdrawn from sale after only 3 days due to a glaring error. The stamp at the top left of the sheet shows rock formations called hoodoos and is supposed to depict formations within Dinosaur National Park. Unfortunately, the stamp actually depicts well-known hoodoo formations which are over 60 KM outside of the park. Canada Post removed them from sale immediately after discovering the error (3 days) and recalled the entire existing supply from post offices. The postmaster at my little post office, a stamp collector, was notified by email that he was to send them all back & Canada Post managers could see his inventory via their intranet, so don't try any funny stuff. He couldn't even keep one for himself! There was no hiding them and they all went back. Luckily, I bought some on the date of issue and gave him one. He was ecstatic. There are none of these error sheets available on Hipstamps or Hip at the time I write this as they have become scarce! Sorry for the glare in the picture; this SS is post-office fresh!
