CANADA: 1c Green, (#89), tied by Toronto Ont 1908 machine cancel to Post Card, addressed Plainfield NY, Post Card Union label affixed, the Post Card Union was a group of individuals that corresponded through Post Cards, the label is scarce, this is one of only a couple I know of used from Canada, but especially interesting in that the club seems to have been used here for dating, the message reads Hello Oscar Received your card OK. I am a tall, dark handsome bleached blond (By Jove). Call again. I have seen these cards used to single women from admirers but this (MIGHT) be man to man, more research would be a great help, interesting either way, Fine-VF
