50th anniversary of Alcock and Brown's first Atlantic non-stop flight, June 14, 1919.

On Rosecraft Alcock FDC cachet. St. John's GPO CDS cancel. Sent Registered with #494/492 franking. St. John's GPO, Montreal AMF-34, and Clochan, Ireland receivers on back.

These flight anniversary covers were produced over a 15 year period starting in 1968. Most were produced by R.K. Malott. Some of the issues were flown and some were not; they are listed in Chapter 11 of the "Airmails of Canada and Newfoundland". This book is in a new printing (2022) and is highly recommended - available from the APS.
