Circa 1890 – Cabinet card photo of a young woman holding a multi-thong riding whip taken by photographer Frank Bogges in his traveling railroad “Fine Art Car” -
Reverse of photo shows a drawn portrait of Bogges and his three-car traveling photography studio. Bogges operated in west central Illinois. He would park his Fine Art Car in sidings at towns without photography studios and spend a few days taking photographs of nearby residents.
