Brazil: Meter stamp cover; high 1300 Reis denomination (300 + 1000) on Euro sized envelope, marked Expressa (Special Delivery), addressed Dr. W. T. Swingle /Pax Hotel / Rio de Janeiro, reduced at top a bit, sent from the Biological Institute in Sao Paulo (still there), Dr. Swingle wrote a well-known and important book on citrus fruit, apparently when he stayed in Rio someone had urgent business with him, at some point (probably later) he gave this envelope to a well-wisher, but not before autographing the reverse!
