The set of 5 stamps issued by Biafra in 1968 to celebrate the first anniversary of the country's independence. The designs show:* a Biafran engineer and scientist with scientific equipment and missiles
* an Igbo victim of the massacre committed by Nigeria in 1966
* a nurse and war refugees
* the Biafran £1 banknote, coat of arms, and flag
* an orphaned refugee baby
