Item Description

Lloyd deVries has been producing his distinctive DRAGON CARDS line of FDCs on 5" x 7" cardstock since 1983. Latecomer Dave Bennett has been creating his Bennett CACHETOONS FDCs since 1986. In 2011 these two oldtimers got together and created this Dragon Card FDC for two singles in the Royal Mail issue "Magical Realms', highlighting the characters in the 'Harry Potter' movie series.

This 'cover' is franked with the DUMBLEDORE and VOLDEMORT singles from the Great Britain issue of March 8, 2011, and they are cancelled with the handsome 'Sorting Hat' pictorial cancel used in Merlins Bridge/ Haverford West.

The cachet shows Harry Potter's Snowy Owl, Hedwig, delivering mail, with Hogwart's in the background.
