The Claude C. Ries Chapter - an enthusiastic group of Southern California FDC collectors - gathers every Spring for a bountiful Mexican feast at the home of club member Shirley Ulling. Tacos, Enchiladas, Beans and anything edibly Mexican are on the menu!That's Shirley accepting tacos from a bevy of swallows on an event cover that was given to all the attendees in March 2017.
This postal stationery item received a printed cachet, as well as the official FDoI postmark from the APS winter show in Reno, Nevada where it was issued.
You would be surprised how tasty tacos that are delivered in the beak of a bird can be!
