Item Description

CARL MONKHOUSE OF ALLEGANY N. Y.; advertising mailer depicting barber shop items: 1.5c Pitney-Bowes meter stamp with 1.5c third class denomination, on four part folding mailer, addressed McKeesport PA, difficult to date but I'd say just post-war (he came to the US from Germany in 1937), some soiling but mostly on the face, the very interesting inside is attractive, opens to four part "catalog" with photos of barber items, also a "Special Price" label is attached to this side, more on reverse incl combs and tweezers, some issues on the folds but still nice, the scan only shows three sections of one side as it is too long for my scanner, overall a great item for a third class mail enthusiast or a barber shop collector, Fine-VF
