AUXILIARY MARKINGS: Ten covers (all legal size), plus three cards and a partial cover, Best is probably legal cover from Dover NJ 1972, appears burnt, stamp missing, window env, impression on window suggests it was en route to Rhode Island, Dover NY Sep 22 1972 postmark, "Damaged in Handling," then a cover with a printers c/c sent from NY to TX with #3669, pointing finger machine cnl for return, 2003, Addressee Unknown handstamp ties stamp (unusual), three covers are returned to a Harrisburg PA lawyer, one is especially fascinating (the one with the BIG Red question mark), Harrisburg 1988 meter to Apple Creek OH, Apple Creek four bar struck plain and Bold at LR, clear pointing finger, etc, a Penn State airmail cover sent to ZAMBIA, but carried to England then mailed under cheaper "Postage Paid" rates, unusual destination, RTS markings, backstamped in Zambia, nice legal size #U632 entire w/ various Great Americans stamps, sent airmail to Japan, Return to Sender, markings in Japanese, clean, "C" meter cover to Egypt (censor), Permit Paid cover w Commanding Officer h/s return address, more, also a CANADA 1956 airmail meter stamp cover to Troy NY USA, "Missent to Mount Vernon NY", the piece has Kings and Queens playing card commemorative stamp and "Damaged in Handling" h/s in Black, cards incl #UX18 w/ "G.D." General Delivery h/s, has Chicago station D Received machine cancel on reverse (see second scan for reverse), also #UX156 w Return to Sender pointing finger h/s, finally ppc of Sacramento (flts) sent Free in WWII, aux marks, POPULAR AREA, AVE -VF+I combine shipping.
