Australia, Scott #293 (Stanley Gibbons #230a), used (o), 1956, Koala Bear definitive, erroneously called a bear, the Koala is a tree-living marsupial found in the eucalyptus woodlands of eastern Australia as the leaves of these trees make up most of their diet; because of its distinctive appearance, the koala along with the kangaroos are recognized worldwide as symbols of Australia, 4 penny, engraved, no watermark, perforated: 15x14, green, Scott 2019 catalog value: 45¢, Stanley Gibbons 8th edition: £2.25. Very slightly off-centered, light, slightly slanted, horizontal box message cancellation over the lower half of the stamp and into the main image, sound back, hinge remnant, penciled Scott identification marks on the back, good perforations; centering and Stanley Gibbons valuation warrants a selling price premium. This is not a 'bait-and-switch' offer. The stamp you see will be the one you receive.
