Item Description

These labels are inscribed "Army Frank - Official Business Only" and were produced by Major Brewster Cox Kenyon, Paymaster in a U.S. Volunteers army during the Spanish American war. Three labels were produced to "frank" official mail. The Post Office Department considered  these cinderellas as unofficial and did not allow them to be affixed to the front of envelopes.No gum as originally issued and appear to be unused. These appear to be a sound stamps with no creases or tears. See the scan for centering and condition. Please contact us with any questions about this item before purchasing
