As a fun fundraising effort to aid StampWants, member Doug Noernberg in his Cleveland HeartWalk, organized a StampWants Mousepad (there were a lot of those around back in the day, thanks to Mark Rosenberg's generosity and publicity-savviness!) being sent all over the world for photo-ops with those who signed up for the journey!

The Mousepad was in California on the date a new stamp was being issued, and this FDC of the Year of the Rat stamp was created to celebrate that synchronicity and to further help Doug raise money for the American Heart Association.

We all had a great time with this community-building endeavor - the details are outlined on a stuffer included with the cover. The cover can fit in your album, but has a little fold-out addendum showing one of the traditional Chinese lanterns shown on the stamp!
