This World War II Patriotic Cover was mailed from Amsterdam, New York to Wethersfield, Connecticut in 1940 franked by a three-stamp vertical strip of bright blue green National Defense - Statue of Liberty issues of 1940, Scott 899. The stamps are tied to the envelope by a duplex and its barred Station-2 elliptical killers.

The Minkus cachet, depicting an American Flag, reads: 'God Blessed America / Home of the Brave.'

Slit open top, the backflap is sealed and intact. A small corner crease lower right; one side of backflap with a few creases (see scans). No contents or backstamps. Printed verso: 'Copr. 1940 by Jaques Minkus, New York, NY, USA.'
