Item Description
Every year the American First Day Cover Society holds its annual convention and philatelic celebration known as AmeriCover. The recently ended confab was held in St. Louis MO this year and the theme of the show was 'The 50th Anniversary Of the First Moonlanding'.Bennett Cachetoons has celebrated two past anniversaries when Apollo 11 stamps were issued - in 1989 and 1994. Those cachets are represented here, along with a new vignette geared to our show in St. Louis.
The cover is franked with the 50th Anniversary Moonlanding pair, and they are struck with the nice AmeriCover pictorial cancel of July 26, 2019, observing the Apollo 11 control transmission stating, 'We Have Liftoff'!
(Apparently, we here at Bennett Cachetoons, are the only ones publicly privy to the information that there are indeed little green beings on the moon!)
