Donors to the AFDCS twice-yearly FDC Auctions receive special Thank You covers from the Auction Committee, depicting themselves caricatured as various stamp-related characters.In 2007 they were all turned into butterflies, bees, bats and hummingbirds in concordance with the new 'Pollinators' stamps.
This FDC for the 41¢ Long-Nosed Bat received a seldom seen early DCP First Day of Issue postmark from Washington DC, on June 29, 2007.
