US: 5c Prexie, (#810), tied by machine cancel NYC 1940, surface mail rate to Berlin Germany, censored twice, has small and unusual handstamp POSTSCHECKKONTO: Berlin 944 ! This is a banking handstamp (post check), not sure if this was pressed into service as an unofficial censor or if there was a check inside and the bank handstamped the envelope by accident, most unusual and VF. Both sides of the cover are shown.I combine shipping. Just ask.
