Item Description
Cover, pair of # 548, 1 cent Pilgrim Tercentenary Issue, from Troy PA to Howell MI, postmarked 02/07. Year indistinct on one postmark strike, appears to be 1921 on other postmark. Upper right hand corner has a diagonal clip. Slit open at left side. Few small edge tears. This may have been disinfected mail, usually indicated by clipped corners or perforated envelopes, but there are no postal markings to indicate that. The Spanish Flu ran from 01/1918 through 12/1920, so this would have been after it had subsided.
