544 1c Used Rotary Sheet Waste Fine Centering With 1991 PF Cert :Details Below Bad news, OK, a tad damaged upper left, in selvedge, and according to cert "slight creases." All I see here on Hip now are prices of $2500+, though. A true rarity (noted by auction site as one of only three known margin copies), obviously will fill a blank spot in my album if I keep it, one that likely stays empty if I sell it. However, when I had my chance to purchase this I was armed with a bit of relevant info that I hope will keep my wife from shooting me for spending a chunk for this, as she puts it, "ugly old dead man," lol. I simply bought this figuring it quite likely I can flip it for a sensible profit and that is exactly what I'm trying to do overall here on Hip. The 3rd and 4th images give details of some provenance for what's obviously this exact stamp. The Kelleher auction company has sold this one twice in the last 4 years, in May, 2014, and Aug 2015, both times for "hammer" realization of $700; I believe that adding the buyer's premium to that it means it's sold twice for net $800+ with the pre-auction estimate being $1000-$1500 both times. So, anyone can right now buy this from me for noticeably less than that range; you might even get it for still less if Hip management offers one of their periodic rebates and you use it for this rather than elsewhere. No idea if one of those promotions will happen before this sells or I decide to keep it, though.
