Three years before Bennett CACHETOONS was formed, hard-working philatelist and cartoonist Dave Bennett was supplying artwork to 'The Stamp Chest' stamp store in Virginia to be printed on envelopes and serviced as FDCs.10 years after this cachet for the 1984 Smokey Bear stamp was designed. the artwork was repurposed and handcolored as a cachet for the special 5oth Anniversary pictorial cancel offered in Morgantown, WV.
No other covers like this were serviced with this cancel.
