Item Description
Partial set of four unique FDCs produced by reductive cutting of linoleum blocks by cachet artist Dave Curtis for the National Park Service Centennial stamps issued Jul. 2, 2016, in New York, NY. USPS B&W pictorial cancel on each cover. Common cachet design; stamps are for Acadia National Park, Assateague Island National Seashore, Gulf Islands National Seashore and Haleakala national Park. Signed and numbered on the face (14/15 on all four). Reductive cutting is an old and time intensive technique for transferring color from a single block of linoleum to various media. Dave and his cachet artist wife Sabrina Curtis have perfected the technique for FDC cachet art.Seller Information
