Immediately after the war postage stamps were necessary, but the Russians would nor recognize or use Allied Military stamps. So towns in the Soviet Zone of Germany were left on their own.Many overprinted the still plentiful Hitler stamps such as this one produced by the city of Meissen in June 1945.
It is in F-VF MNH condition.
