WORLD WAR II: 3c Win the War (#905), tied by San Francisco CA Aug 15 1944 machine cancel to Brown cover, window envelope with content, original address USS Colorado (which saw much action during this period), the content is fascinating: an OVERDRAFT NOTICE for $1.30,whcih seems petty considering the circumstances, content shown in second scan (has a tear at top), the cover was forwarded several times, most notably on Sep 8 and Sep 22, shown by the HIGHLY UNUSUAL backstamps from the Fleet Record Dept, they read FORWARDED (date) To Avoid Delay Have Correspondents, Use Your Full Name, Rate or Rank, etc, long text, unusual, some wrinkles but in great shape for a forwarded war-time cover, Fine-VF
