2024 war in Ukraine Military Postal Card "Defenders of Azovstal. Mariupol". RARE
The postal card dedicated to the war in Ukraine.

1. On front side of the card there is autograph of a soldier of the Azov Regiment, a defender of Mariupol, the author and hero of the postage stamp "The Light Will Win!", Dmytro Kozatsky with the call sign "Orest". An autograph session was hold at the Kyiv Central Post Office (22 Khreshchatyk St.) on March 01, 2024.
Note that in order to create equal opportunities for all participants of the autograph session, the number of copies for signing was limited to 5 copies.
Dmytro Kozatskyi's photos spread across the Ukrainian and world media, becoming a record of Ukraine's heroic resistance in the war with Russia.

2. On card there are the postmark "Glory to Ukraine!" and the postmark "Glory to Heroes!". The postmarks were put into effect in Kyiv on January 22, 2024, on the occasion of the Day of Unity of Ukraine..

On January 22, 2024, for the Day of the Unity of Ukraine, Ukrposhta in Kyiv put into effect new postmarks with the transfer date: "Glory to Ukraine! 01001", which will work at the main post office on the right bank of the Dnieper in Kyiv, and "Glory to Heroes! 02002", which can be used on the left bank of the Dnieper in Kyiv - at the left bank post office. In this way, Ukrposhta created a "postal chain" between the two banks of the Dnieper, which symbolizes the unity of our country.
As sketches of postmarks, the author's work of Igor Sarabeev, who took part in the competition of Ukrposhta to create a sketch for a postmarks about dignity, freedom and will, was used.

3. On front side of the card there is also the official special cancellation “AZOV. 10 years. Kyiv. 01001. 23.05.2024”.

In May 2024, Azov turned 10 years old. Since its inception, the military formation has come a long way: from dozens of volunteers aimed at fighting the occupiers to a special forces brigade within the Security and Defense Forces of Ukraine.

Azov soldiers have become a symbol of exceptional courage and resilience. Since 2014, they have been defending Ukraine, having fought for Maryinka, Ilovaisk, Shyrokyne, Berdiansk, Vodiane, Sopyne, Hnutove, Lebedynske and other settlements. And again for Mariupol, Velyka Novosilka, Orikhivske direction, Kreminna forests in February 2022.

Currently, more than 900 Azov soldiers who fought for 86 days in the enemy-held Mariupol are still in captivity.

With the postal issue "AZOV. 10 years" honors those who died for the freedom of Ukraine, reminds us of the prisoners of the Russian invaders and celebrates the feats of each of the soldiers of the legendary military formation.
