2021 Maxicard with stamp of 30 years of Independence of Ukraine, Kyiv, Monument, RARE!
The city of special redemption of the stamp - Kyiv, August 17, 2021.
On August 24, Ukraine celebrates a national holiday - the Independence Day of Ukraine, which was established in honor of the adoption in 1991 by the Verkhovna Rada of the Ukrainian SSR of the Act of Proclamation of Independence of Ukraine. This document crowned the millennial desire of the Ukrainian people to have their own sovereign state.
The postage block and artistic stamp depict the Monument of Independence - a triumphal column erected in 2001 on the main square of the country for the 10th anniversary of Ukraine's independence. The monument, designed by the sculptor Anatoliy Kushch, represents the birth of a free state. Built in the Ukrainian Baroque and Empire style, the building is a 9-meter tall statue towering over Independence Square on a 52-meter column.
The female figure on the column is Bereginya-Oranta. She holds a viburnum branch in her hand - a symbol of the unity and life of Ukrainians.
