Item Description
The first set of U.S. lighthouses was a popular success. Here is a full booklet pane ( without tab ) of the five stamps in the 1990 set on a #9 Monarch-sized FDC (7 1/2" x 3 7/8").The two-color ( blue and black) printed cachet shows an old Lighthouse Keeper and his dog returning home to Cape Hatteras Light after a run to the market. And apparently the library, as well.
The cachet has a bit of hand-added coloring by the original artist.
