Item Description
Collection of 50 event covers, 1978, National Audubon Society, Covers of the 50 State Birds & Flowers, cachets are artwork of each state's bird and flower, covers franked with flag stamps, contained in a green faux suede album, issued in conjunction with Fleetwood. The artwork for the covers was created by wildlife artist Arthur Singer. Each cover includes a card with historical information on the bird and flower of that state. Album measures approximately 9 by 10 inches, 2 1/2 inches thick. Covers are postmarked in 1978, in the appropriate state capital on the anniversary of that state's statehood, and the 13 original states are postmarked on the anniversary of their ratification of the Constitution.Seller Information
