Full mint sheet of 50 - 5 cent stamps issued in 1966 to honor Johnny Appleseed (John Chapman 1774-1845) who wandered over 100,000 square miles planting apple trees and who gave away and sold seedlings to Midwest Pioneers. The stamp shows Johnny Appleseed. The picture below shows one of the stamps from the sheet. Except for being trimmed at the printer such that one stamp has no narrow selvedge, this sheet is as fresh as the day it was purchased at the post office 50+ years ago and is suitable for framing.
