Item Description
1965 Cinderella Commodore Shipping Company Guernsey Sark Europa Souvenir Sheet MNH. The G.P.O. mail between Guernsey, Sark and Alderney was carried by ships of the Commodore Shipping Company, which also ran a local parcel service. The shipping company operated the only cargo/passenger services between these islands and in 1954 type-set labels, which were locally printed, were introduced as a convenient means of collecting freight charges on small parcels and packages shipped to Sark. These types of labels continued in use until July 1961. Then pictorial stamps continued in use up to 1968.Seller Information
