A full mint sheet of 50 - 4 cent stamps issued in 1962 to celebrate the 1st orbital flight of the 1st U.S. Astronaut, Lt. Col. John H. Glenn, Jr. Feb. 20, 1962. The stamp shows the "Friendship 7" capsule and globe. The picture below shows one of the stamps from the sheet. Except for a missing section of narrow selvedge (5 mm long), this sheet is as fresh as the day it was purchased at the post office 55+ years ago and is suitable for framing. If you're a stamp collector, it is Scott #1193.
