Item Description

Full mint sheet of 50 - four cent stamps issued in 1962. This error stamp was sold following the discovery of a copy of the original sheet with yellow background inverted. The original stamp was issued honor Dag Hammarskjold, UN Secretary General 1953-1961. The stamp shows UN Headquarters and Dag Hammarskjold. The picture below shows one of the stamps from the sheet and a sample of the whole sheet with the yellow color inverted. This sheet is as fresh as the day it was purchased at the post office 55+ years ago and is suitable for framing. If you're a stamp collector, it is Scott #1204. Plate number and position will be at my discretion, but let me know if you're interested in something special. My Brookman catalogue says they'll sell you this sheet for $12.
