1959 Cuba Plate Proof MNH - Stamp Never Issued - Estimated 80 Known - RARE! This issue is believed made to be released sometime in early 1959 (February 10 as stated in the design) but when Fidel Castro took over the country on January 1st., everything that was planned by the Fulgencio Bastista government was put on hold, and in this case, the stamp was never released. The text at the bottom of the design: CIA. (Compañia) P. FERNANDEZ, SA (Sociedad Anónima), HABANA, refers to the printing company that did the printing.FREE shipping to U.S. addresses on all of my listings!
