Item Description

This Lot is a 1958 Ghana Registered First Day Cover franked with Scott #'s 5, and 25-27 celebrating "Ghana Independence". Stamps have deep rich coloring, four margins with slightly varied centering, and nice perforations all around. Stamps are tied by "ACCRA / 26 MY 58 / GHANA" circular date stamps. Cover has cachet picturing "THE TALKING DRUMS OF GHANA" and is addressed to Ghana Philatelic Agency in New York. Rever side of cover has New York receiving stamp, registration label, and day of issue hand stamp. Cover is clean front and reverse, has sharp corners, sharp straight edges, and measures approximately 165 mm x 94 mm. Please see pictures.
