Item Description

This Lot is a 1955 Iran Scott #982 and 1002 Lion Hunt and Shah used on Cover addressed from Teheran, Iran to New York, New York. Stamps are tied to cover by "TEHERAN / 55.IX.01" circular date cancel. Stamps have deep rich coloring, four margins with varied centering (all nice), and excellent perforations all around. Cover itself measures approximately 156 mm x 125 mm and is clean front and reverse sides. Cover has nice straight edges and corners, some light surface wrinkling and light vertical crease at mid-point - does not significantly detract from appearance. Also, there is 1/2 inch tear at top between the two stamps - barely notable - and does not impact either stamp. Please see front and reverse pictures for condition and quality.
