Item Description

This Lot is a 1953 Iran Scott #970-74 Used Set of 5 stamps depicting the Abadan Oil Fields. Stamps are tied to cover by "Teheran / 29 III 53" double circular date cancels. Stamps have nice rich coloring, four margins with balanced centering, and excellent perforations all around. Cover itself measures approximately 140 mm x 98 mm, has sharp corners and straight edges, and is clean front and reverse sides. Please see pictures of front and reverse sides for condition and quality. Scott 2025 Catalogue values this Set of 5 in Used condition, without the cover, at $25.00 US. Cover adds additional value.
