Full mint sheet of 50 - 3 cent stamps issued in 1949 to celebrate the 200th Anniversary of the establishment of the Washington and Lee University. The stamp shows George Washington, Robert E. Lee and a University building at Lexington, VA. The picture below shows one of the stamps from the sheet. Except for missing the narrow selvedge all along the left side, this sheet is as fresh as the day it was purchased at the post office 70+ years ago and it is suitable for framing. If you're a stamp collector, it is Scott #982.
