Full mint sheet of 50 - 6 cent airmail stamps issued in 1949 to celebrate the 200th Anniversary of the founding of Alexandria, Virginia. The stamp shows the home of John Carlyle, Alexandria Seal and Gadsby's Tavern. The picture below shows one of the stamps from the sheet. Except for some perf separation in the narrow selvedge (including a tiny missing corner), this sheet is as fresh as the day it was purchased at the post office 70+ years ago and is suitable for framing.
