Item Description

Full mint sheet of 50 - 3 cent stamps issued in 1948 to honor the 50th anniversary of the organization of the Rough Riders of the Spanish-American War. The stamp shows a statue of Captain William O (Bucky) O'Neill by Solon H. Borglum. The picture below shows one of the stamps from the sheet. Except for some perf separation in the narrow selvedge, this sheet is as fresh as the day it was purchased at the post office 65+ years ago and is suitable for framing.
