Item Description

Full mint sheet of 50 - 3 cent stamps issued in 1948 to honor Juliette Low who founded the Girl Scouts of America. Mrs. Low organized the 1st Girl Guides troop in 1912 in Savannah. The name was changed to Girl Scouts in 1913 and the headquarters moved to New York. The stamp shows Juliette Gordon Low and the Girl Scout Emblem. The picture below shows one of the stamps from the sheet. This sheet is as fresh as the day it was purchased at the post office 70+ years ago and is suitable for framing. If you're a stamp collector, it is Scott #974. Plate #23953 UR.
