Item Description

Full mint sheet of 100 - 5 cent airmail stamps issued in 1948 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the consolidation of the five boroughs of New York City. The stamp shows a map of the five boroughs surrounded by a circular band and some planes. The picture below shows one of the stamps from the sheet. A sheet of this era may have minor perf faults but is otherwise this sheet is as fresh as the day it was purchased at the post office 70+ years ago and is suitable for framing. If you're a stamp collector, it is Scott #C38. I may have a variety of plate numbers and positions available so ask if you are looking for something in particular.
