Up for auction is a beautiful censored Letter cover from the Prisoner of War, POW, camp internment camp 25 clement Town in bombay, India to Napoli Italy . Beautiful cancels and markings. PostmarkEd in February 17, 1946 . In good condition the stamp been removed . Priced to sell. The Dehra Dun camp held Jewish detainees who were German citizens who had fled Germany before the war. Refered to by the British at "Friendly enemy aliens" they were locked up for the duration of the war. Extremely rare and scarce, about 850 Jewish refugees were imprisoned in British India during the war. Note this cover says it was mailed by a prisoner in the central interment camp . Sender is Eugenio Werra.
