Item Description

Up for auction is a beautiful dual censored cover from a German Prisoner of War, POW, held at the POW camp in Camp Swift, Texas and mailed to Sophie Schumacher in New york City USA. Postmarked November 30, 1944. Excellent condition. censorship by US authorities. Sender is a prisoner named Heinrich Siebecker.

Note the discoloration caused by chemicals applied by US censors to detect hidden writing or invisible ink!
